Well, fiends, all good things must come to an end, and this weekend brings us to the finalies of the abbreviated first seasons of Midnight Shock Theater and Master Vyle's Creature Feature. Despite all the reasons for not meeting my goal of bringing you two new shows every week for a year it has been fun, and these final shows that were originally meant to air on Cinco de Mayo weekend are no exception. I will be makinging a second attempt at Project 52 in a couple of years, hopefully having enough time to be way ahead of schedule. Until then, please enjoy this weekend's Horrible Old Featured Creatures.
The season finale fun starts Friday night at 12:00 AM Midnight Eastern as Master Vyle and his Video Dungeon Fiends present Naked Youth (aka Wild Youth) on Midnight Shock Theater. When a trio of teens on the run from the law and bound for Mexico cross paths with a drug dealer and his girlfriend on the run from the law in Mexico, things go from worse to worse when the teens take of with the drugs. Featuring Carol Ohmart of House on Haunted Hill and Spider Baby fame.
Then on Saturday at 12:00 PM Noon Eastern the last hurrah concludes as Master Vyle and his Video Dungeon Fiends present The Curse of the Aztec Mummy and Mesa of Lost Women on Master Vyle's Creature Feature. First up the Aztec Mummy film series rolls on with it's second offering, as Popaca rises once again to protect the Aztec treasure from the villianous Dr. Krupp. Starring Ramon Gay as Dr. Almada, in his next to last role as the original Aztec Mummy trilogy were the last films he appeared in before his death. The it's a trip into the "Weird West" with Mesa of Lost Women. Jackie Coogan, best known for playing Uncle Fester on the original The Addams Family television series, stars as a mad scientist who has discovered a way to mutate giant spiders into deadly women.
